DressageScore

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data DressageScore collects when you use dressagescore.com and our mobile apps (together, the “Service”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. DressageScore is based in Ireland and treats data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text), and country.
  • Performance data you enter: horse profiles, competition results, movement-by-movement scores, judge names, goals, diary and show entries, and any self-assessment notes you add.
  • Scoresheet images: photos you upload for AI scanning, and the marks/comments our AI extracts from them.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and general device/browser information, collected via Google Analytics (gtag) and the Meta/Facebook Pixel for understanding how the Service is used and for measuring our own marketing.
  • Support communications: anything you send us via the contact form or by email.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • provide the Service — storing and displaying your results, horses, goals, and analytics back to you;
  • power AI scoresheet scanning and score prediction features;
  • communicate with you about your account or in response to a support request;
  • understand aggregate usage of the Service so we can improve it;
  • measure the effectiveness of our own marketing, via Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Where your data is stored

DressageScore is built on Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform. Your account data, results and uploaded scoresheet images are stored on Google's infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

5. Third parties

We share limited data with the following categories of service provider, only as needed to run the Service:

  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, authentication, database and file storage.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — marketing measurement for our own ad campaigns.

We do not share your performance data, horse records, or scoresheet images with any dressage association, judge, or third party without your consent.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and for the analytics and marketing tools described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect parts of the Service that require you to be logged in.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and performance data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • export your data in a portable format;
  • object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dressagescore.com.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
